Philipp, a project member, took a Floorball kit to China to set it up in a Chinese summer camp. His report:
"I took part in a Chinese summer camp as an English teacher in the summer of 2007. I had the opportunity along with several others there to make the Chinese youngsters from the Sichuan province get acquainted with English. I took along a kit of Floorball to this camp. We are still using it in this camp. After the introduction of Floorball in the camp, the manager there showed active interest to continue taking it forward. They developed a vision for Floorball in Chendu and its surroundings. I left this kit with them, for it would be put to good use with them.
Chengdu is the capital of the Chinese province Sichuan. The city has a population of over 10 million.
A ravaging earthquake shook up Sichaun recently. It has resulted in several other problems which are yet to be resolved and we do not know for sure if and how this Floorball kit will be used now."
