September 2009

Since September 1, 2009, we employed Nadine Aellig in our office at half the usual salary. Her duties will include the various administrative works and handling individual, long-term project countries. She will introduce herself in the next newsletter.

During our projects in countries and cultures totally different from ours, we noticed that without exception, sharing the floorball know-how bridges all gaps. In cultures where learning is imparted by rote and dictation, the trainee coaches are mostly overburdened with our teaching methods. Our experiences have taught us to prepare ‘30 ready lessons in floorball’, which can then be taken over and used on a one-on-one basis.

The priorities are setting-up of a chain of sponsors and the publicity of the UfS Club. We could introduce the club to all the leaders of NLA club and received a lot of help; e.g. collection of Floorball material, articles in periodicals, homepages etc.

Mark Wolf, the J+S Head of Floorball department, has supported us with training material, important tips and practical help. Talks of consequence are going on with SUHV and with international panels.

We have received a lot of goodwill and cooperation from diverse general importers. They have given us Floorball material at a bargain price (free in parts). A big thanks to all those who have helped us so generously and who are willing to continue doing so.

Private clubs, associations and diverse Floorball clubs have supported us generously with material, know-how, finance and contacts.
